Not seeing this as a brand elitism thing since ADs typically carry multiple brands. Might be more of an AD trying to make money thing for the OP.

alex** - I see your point about security via an AD, but in the US we can insure packages for a higher value and what I'm sending to BUSA is in the less than a $1,000 range (I think that's eqivalent to about 6 Brit Pounds right now  ). Plus, I go to the post office next to my house versus 20 min drive to my snooty AD and then back again for pickup. Lastly, I like the idea of ME packaging up the watches to make sure they meet my standard for "well packed in a secure box".

At the end of the day, the OP also taught me that if I go through an AD, I have to deal with the AD and have little recourse with BUSA as evidenced by the unfriendly BUSA rep he had to deal with who redirected him back to the AD.

It's fortunate for us that we can learn from other's experiences here, it is very unfortunate how Jibba is getting treated. :|

^I was referring to the way Breitling handled the OP.

The AD issues are a whole other thing.

Is this true? Can you really get 50% off a new bracelet when you purchase a full service !?! Has anyone received this deal in the US?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but this is a related question....

Yeah, that must be an AD promo. I could make money if that deal were readily available!

Well, that's what my AD (in Switzerland) told me. Offer is only valid for leather or croco bracelets.
