I have the oportunity to buy an A17035 Colt auto for $800 and would like some opinions if this is a worthwhile price. I think this is late 90s era. No indication of when it was serviced last but just cleaned and polished via AD (in order to sell). Seems in good condition, some minor and light desk diver marks. I see it selling for around $1000 on both US and Euro sites, BUT on ebay I found a white face one that sold for $802 and a blue dial one that went for $650.
In 2007 bnewbie got one like this as his first Breitling for $1850 - so I know it's a better price then he got :poke:
So is $800 a great price or just average for a private sale?
If this turns out not to be a really great price then I wont take it.
If you want it, PM me and I'll hook you up with the seller.

For another $300, you can get a preowned Colt Auto with blue dial on a bracelet and a 15 month warranty from one of this site's sponsors.

Yeah, but that was price I payed with customs duty, tax and FedEx forwarding included.
The real price was €910 for NOS with a Diver strap.

No crap. New here, just browsing. I ended up buying this specific watch. Ended up getting it for $660 so I hope that was a good deal. I am sending it in for a service overhaul this week, I want to get the crystal replaced and bezel re-enambled. Other than that the watch runs great, so far its been exact on time. I figure I will service it for around $300- $400 brining it back to new then keep it for a year and sell/trade it.. But its a classic looking combo, already love the compliments from people.
