I know this has been getting a little old with people always asking opinions concerning which watch to buy. I know I will get a lot of responses saying, "only you can choose.." and such. However, I would like some help seeing more pros and cons than I can see from my prospective.

So I have the opportunity to choose between a Super Avenger Black Steel or a White Navi World on Brown Croco w/ Deployment. Anyway sorry for maybe beating some dead horses....( :michaelangelo: )

Right now? I would prob wait a bit... More blacksteels r coming in Basel & someone said a probable B01-movmt Navi??

If u can't wait, I'd go for the Navi World. The SABS wears small, not in-ur-face like most SA, imo -- prob due to lack of blacksteel bracelet to go with it. Despite it being LE, I seemed to still see it being available lots of places, new & mint.

Easy choice for me as I strongly dislike surface coatings. One unfortunate ding and you're screwed. Also, even though I like the SA normally, I don't get along with the style for the numerals.

Ditto. I tried them out with a PVD Bell & Ross, and a ding on the bezel cost me money when I sold it because the buyer knew it couldn't be polished out.

I quite like the look of the SABS, but for practical reasons I would choose the Navi World over it any day.

And another vote for a strong dislike of surface coatings here too. Navi World all the way IMO.

Navi world. Hate surface coatings. Dont like black watches in general.

Wow, 15-0 for the Navi World at the moment. I didn't expect it to be quite so clear-cut, given that second-hand SABS sale threads still show a fair bit of interest in the model.

I wonder how different it would have been if the SABS had a black ceramic case like the IWC Top Gun. Could well have changed my vote.

Between the two I would also lean towards the Navi World and here's why: The SA finish while cool is not repairable at home so you will need to be extra carefull with it and the size is massive. After wearing my SA for a day and then strapping on the World, the Navi looks tiny! Personally the SA screams casual and the Navi could easily be concidered a dress watch (expecially on a Croc).

You need them both on you wrist to compare. Put that (what seems like, 5 lb) SA on your wrist and walk around in the store with it on and then do the same with the Navi. The right choice will come to you. I suggest getting them both, but Im an enabler! :)

I would go for the World.

I used to have an ASBS and I was always afraid of hitting/scratching it...Also, this (very fine) watch needs something
nicer than the DP strap. :?

I was very lucky with mine because I DID smash it a couple of times (once on a door and the other time on a door knob) with no visible damage :D I finally traded it.

I guess you claimed that TMNT smiley! :michaelangelo: Awesome :strummin: (BTW this one's my favorite)

Oh yeah, World all the way. I was not impressed with the SABS. The SA demands to be seen, and coating it in black takes a lot away from it IMO.

Wow. I really didn't expect this. I am going to have to do some heavy thinking and serious gathering of funds!
