i finally was able to break the wife down and ordered a new bentley motors t (the anthracite dial), to my suprise and the ad suprise, breitling indicates the model has been discontinued and replaced by the speed (without the dial color i was looking for)

any others heard this model is out of production?

(still looking for one if anyone sees one out there....)

yup i have heard the same thing. The new motors t speed in white is actually a combo of white with silver. it looks really good and i think that if you were interested in the white then you would still like if not appreciate more the updated version.

i have attached a photo so you can see what i am talking about. its ultimately up to you but if you are looking for just the older regular white get in touch with george from govberg he will hook ya up,

I know the 6.75 still comes in both the regular and speed edition. I'm not sure about the motors.

interesting...i wonder what ling is planning on this one. on the one hand the new speed versions have a chromed out subdials and the 30 seconde chrono markers are re painted in red. but the new face color scheme is a little different. i wonder if this is a case of updates...or just more consumer choices??

as a follow-up on this post i have an interesting question i am looking for some perspective on

after searching fairly high and low for the specific discontinued model i was looking for unsuccessfully, finally ordered it from a grey market dealer as the last option

it took 12 weeks but they were finally able to deliver the watch, i happened to be out of town and got it shipped to me in Portland, OR where things got interesting

my wife took the watch in to the local dealer in Portland who basically said that the finish on the bridge under the bezel wasn't right and must have been modified by someone not Breitling related (an action that would prevent me from having the watch serviced by Breitling in the future) - the car logo on the back also isn't centered which seems a little odd

i took the watch for a second opinion in Los Angeles and the dealer indicated it was an authentic watch, as did a local used watch dealer i have worked with before

the Portland AD comments have somewhat concerned, what i can't figure out given my understanding of the grey market watch sources why any AD or grey market dealer would have work done by anyone by Breitling? could the AD just have had an issue with a watch sourced through a grey market dealer?

The 6.75 is now called the 6.75 Speed with a wider bezel and chrome rings.

Are you sure the bezel is wider? I thought the only difference was the silver around the subdials.

I just picked up the 6.75 Speed and my jeweler showed me the differences between both watches and on the new speed the bezel is the same but wider. I think it looks better with the wider bezel.

Are those the only two differences?

Are both still 100% polished cases and bracelets?

Both the same size?

Both the same amount of red markings on the dial?

Thanks.

Yes. The only two differences are the wider bezel and chromed out subdials, which gives the watch a new reference number.

Thanks. I knew about the subdials but never knew about the bezel being wider.
