hey everyone,

just received a beautiful navitimer world from an AD! I am probably just being a bit paranoid (as a breitling novice and all) at this point but I have 2 quick questions regarding the paperwork:

1. The warranty certificate (last page, inside cover) is "punched" and filled out properly. However, the page immediately before the cover is not filled out under "retailer's name, address and signature". I have seen the answer go either way online so i figured i would ask one more time whether or not it matters.

2. The MONTRE NO on the "Attestation De Chronometre" does NOT match the SERIAL number in the warranty booklet. The warranty booklet serial number DOES match the serial number on the watch. Is the "montre no" supposed to match the "serial no" or am i missing something?

thanks to everyone in advance.

Congrats on the new Navi World! :)

To answer the second question first. Yes. The number in the right upper corner of the certificate in the white area beneath "Montre No" is the serial number of the watch and that number on the cosc, the warranty book and the watch should all match.

As far as the dealers stamp on the warranty book it's quite a common ommitance it seems. It probably wouldn't be a problem in the future but I personally would take it back to have it filled out properly.

Your'e welcome. Make sure the AD gets all of that sorted out for you. It will make life a lot easier in the future should you decide to sell or need warranty work done.

Cheers

Sounds like just the wrong COSC packaged with the watch - hopefully the right one is still at the AD.

Hi gents im a bit mixed up here.........i purchsed my SA on the lst day of 2009.......so im new to the numbers set up........i do have a warranty book....details at the rear cover are
warranty certificate number (punched)...... in the ref box is a letter and number.....at the side of that is the serial number..........below is date of purchase..... then (punched) is country and retailers name .
Opposite the cover is the last page 24 with the retailers stamp and signature.

On the certificate i have the Montre number in the white box, a punched number in the top left hand corner.......i presume this to be the COSC doc.
The montre number and the serial number on the watch and warranty book match
however the punched number on the COSC doc doesnt match the punched number in the warranty book..........is this wrong please?........Joe

That's ok. Those numbers aren't supposed to match.
