Would I be a madman to be considering a second Navitimer World and/or a second SA????

I currently have a blue dial World on the bracelet, but I also really fancy a white dial Navitimer on a brown croco strap, but all the other Navi's are just too small. Personally I think they'd look sufficiently different to justify it, but I thought I'd canvas some opinion here anyway!

Likewise I have a white dial SA on blue croc (which I love!), but I also fancy having the black dial version on a bracelet too!

With the exception of a Bentley Motors and the forthcoming SOH Chronograph, there's nothing else I fancy at the moment...., even by other watchmakers. (Incidentally I'm off the Chronomat Evo idea now too).

No, I wouldn't think you're a madman. :) Sounds like a great plan!

If you'd like a white Navi and still diversify from the world, have you thought about a white Legende? Then I believe you'll gain 1 mm too... For a second SA, there are no options. If you'd like a black one - get one!

Driver8,

Have you consider a Stainless Steel Avenger Skyland instead of another SA, although you lose 3mm the Skyland is still one hefty watch and is available in Black.

Just a thought

Thanks for the replies guys! (I guess the best place to ask if you're mad is in the asylum!!  )

I had thought about the Legende, Aleister, but I personally prefer the Navi hands to the Montbrillant versions.... and also I want a Navi that I can have on a strap, so that pretty much cancels the Legende out.

I do like the Skyland as well, Jerome, but I tried one on at the same time as when I bought my current SA, and while it is a sizeable piece, it was just overshadowed by the SA a bit too much.

(PS - Actually, I think Sportback has a pair of Panerai Daylights - one in black and one in white, if I'm not much mistaken...... so I must be sane!  )

I wouldn't own a Navitimer after owning a Navi-World.

The Navitimer is just too small!

Yes, you're right - the idea of switching the Navi over to a strap crashes with the Legende. But still, no you're no madman. For some of my watches, I've decided which model to go with depending on if it was available in a certain color or not...

I don't thin there is anything wrong with getting another Navi World, but I'd get something different first, like maybe a Legende... or... maybe an Olympus or something?

As to being mad or not, in 14 months I've managed to purchase 12 watches...

One of the main reasons I'm not able to post as frequently (as some!!) - can't get my bloody arms out of the sleeves....

Hello Diver8,

before You buy two similar watches just wait 2 month.
The new models will be presented on the fair in Basel, which is in the first half of april. Maybe there is something new for You there.

Heck, get one in each dial color. That way when you get tired of one you can sell it to one of us at a hefty discount.
I think a Legende in Havana would look sufficiently different to compliment the collection.

That's a very good idea Thomas! I'd forgotten all about Basel.
