Question on the behalf of a co-worker.

He owns a Breitling Evolution (his the one that first introduced Breitling to me), and he damaged the rear of the case this weekend. Damage as niped metal out of it by accident (bad enough that not only it cuts into the skin but it looks nasty).

So quick question, is it possible to buy a Breitling Evolution case back? Especially without having to send it back to Breitling and wait X amount of time before getting his watch back, and further risking taxes/duty fee's when it returns.

Thanks!

I would really doubt that.

For now i guess he could have it polished very well, and by the next service, he could ask Breitling to replace the caseback.

I'm just assuming.

It will definitely need to go back to Breitling.

There is not a chance in heck that Breitling will sell a caseback for a number of reasons:

1) That's how quality fakes become a nightmare

2) Breitling won't support opening the watch by anyone not Breitling trained

3) Breitling will need to update their records for serial numbers as the caseback is where that lives.

Ok i'll let him know the bad news. I'll rub it in a bit more since my Panerai arrived

Revenge for the weeks of him tormenting me with his Breit :guns:

Any cost estimate to a case back change?
