I've always wondered that. MSRP $4550 for both models. I would have figured the SA to be more money because it's bigger, maybe $5200 or so....

Not complaining, just surprised Breitling isn't asking more for the Super models...

Well, they really are essentially the same watch, just in two different sizes. I guess Breitling could probably charge more for the SA because it is bigger, but that would be sorta lame.

I guess your right. Omega only gets a small premium in the 45mm PO vs the 42mm..

Yeah, which I don't understand. Isn't the XL about $300 more?

I agree they could get away with charging a little bit more and it probably would not upset too many people. I guess they figure it really does not cost them any more to make the case bigger (maybe a cent or two in steel), so they can live with the same profits from both, good news for us I suppose.

I think the SA is one of the best deals in the Swiss watch world, especially if you can get one at a decent discount.

If you can swing the 48mm size, you get a very nicely executed mechanical chrono with date with a worldclass bracelet for less than 5K.

I couldn't agree more, which is why I am looking forward to buying a Super Avenger in a couple of weeks of so. I do not know what it is, but it is the only sub $10K watch that I absolutely love, I think part of that feeling I get is due to the craftsmanship of Breitling, for such a low price, in a design that I love.

I guess those are even more reasons for me to be pleased that the SA is the same price as the normal Avenger.

If I remember correctly, SA was before AS so Breitling is actually taking better margin on the AS. Not the atherway around. Either way, like others said the difference is probably nearly nonexistent so...
