Hello everyone,

As I am travelling next frebruary to NYC, I would like to buy a new Breitling Navitimer from a AD.
I am looking for a Navitimer or Navitimer world, black or silver dial, with a steel or brown croco bracelet. What a dilemma?! Has anybody a suggestion to help resolve my problem? I already had an offer for a Navitimer black dial with croco strap for 4.500 USD (excl shipping to my hotel) outside NYC. Would this be a good deal?
Are there any things to notice?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
Cheers
Tsjakke

To be honest the main deciding factor between those two is size. Around 41mm for the standard Navi : 46mm for the World. Make sure you try them on it person before you buy because those 5mm make a HUGE difference on the wrist.

Depends on your wristsize. Try them on! I bought std navi, fits me perfect. A World would look stupid on me. While on others, the world is perfect, and the std "too small".

Tough choice. I have both the World and the Navi. For me it's not so much about size but instead the look and the complications of the watch. I really enjoy wearing both. The best thing would be to go to an AD and spend a fair amount of time with each watch. You may strap the World on and feel immediately that it's to big or vice versa but give each watch some wrist time. I realize that's not easy in an AD where it's hurry up and make a decision but this is a fairly big costly decision. Look at the features of each watch carefully and see which appeals more to you. See which, as they say calls to you. You'll know.

Thanks a lot chaps for your reply! I'll certainly pop in an AD and some of these on.
I think though, I'd better pick the Navi since my wrist size is not the same as Schwarzenegger.
Anyway, have you got any thoughts about the 4.500 $ and the croco strap with deployent or steel bracelet?

Thanks!

From the 2009 US pricelist the Navi on croc with deployant is $5745.00 and on steel is $6425.00. You can usually expect anywhere from 20 to sometimes 30% off of that from an AD. I believe there has been a price increase since that was published as well but I may be wrong about that.
