I'm just about buy my first Breitling and have a question.
Breitling Navitimer Datora has month, day and date. Do you have to change the date monthly to keep up or it change to 1 automatically after 4/30?

Thanks!

You will need to change the date manually at the end of the month if it has less than 31 days.

The only mechanical watches that keep track of the months and adjust the date accordingly are watches with perpetual calendar movements......... and they are expensive! Semi-perpetual calendar movements are much cheaper than perpetual calendar movements (though they are still fairly expensive) and they can cope with all months except leap years - so that's one adjustment every 4 years.

The Datora is powered by neither of these types of movement.

As driver 8 says, I will merely add I have a datora it was my first b as well and I still love it,
The day date is great and minimal effort of roll over the 30 day months, would I have prefered semi perpetual yes but would it stop me buying it again........ Nope

Just for my information... Does it have a quickset date adjustment or do you have to pull the crown out?

The crown has to be pulled out regardless of whether or not the watch has a quickset feature. Quickset simply means that when you pull the crown out to the date adjustment position, you can flip right through the dates until you get the one you want. On a non-quickset, you have to pull the crown out to the time adjustment position, and then cycle through the time 24 hours to advance the date wheel by one position.

Apologies. I though quickest referred to a pushable crown to advance the day.

Thanks for clarifying.
