Hello..!
Newbie to the forum about to go pick up my Navitimer World.. My first Breitling ever I'm so excited but kinda worried....
Few things I wanna ask before I go..
If I do not buy the watch from the AD whats the disadvantage beside warrenty service etc...
Also store owner told me that he gets the watch from AD therefore he can return the customer card (warrenty card?) back to them... is this true? so when I call Breitling they will have my information...
And since hes not the AD he can give a really good discount on the watch b/c AD can only sell for the price Breitling told them to sell for...
so whats the first thing I should check for and what actually comes with the watch???? How can I tell if its fake? I doubt huge store from the malls gonna sell me a fake but just 0.000000000123123123999 % chance ...
I'm so sorry if this has been answered but any helps will be appreciated!
Thank You!

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

Independent if you buy from an AD or not you should make sure you get all the paperwork - warranty card, certificate, manual, inner and outer boxes... There's no reason to leave the warranty card (or any other papers) out of the deal just because they're not an AD. Sometimes however, the store/dealer will keep it because they don't want to display the original AD's name. If that's the case, make sure you get their written word for that they will take care of any occuring problems and/or cancel the deal. If your dealer has told you he can get the warranty papers filled out, this doesn't seem to be a problem. As long as you have the correct paperwork you can turn to any AD/Servicecenter if it should be necessary - you don't have to go back to your dealer then.

The best way to know it's a real watch is of course to take it to an AD and have them look at it. If you can make a deal that you can cancel the deal within the first 7 days this should be doable (This is made automatically in Sweden - you can always return goods the first 7 days and get a refund.). The second best way is to make yourself really comfortable with your model on the official website, and to search in the forum for any known fake attributes on your model. If possible, you can always take a pic of the watch, upload it here and let the members have their say before you finish the deal.

In most cases, when you buy online, you won't get the warranty card. It protects the source of the person selling the piece. Any warranty work must be submitted by the seller.
