Do you guys think 7200 is a fair deal for a LNIB V series Deepsea?

Looks fantastic and not scratched up from what I can see. Its used right? I double checked my paperwork. Not to much more and you should be able to get new one. The price at the bottom I told u about was with a double winder and small stuff. Sorry I forgot and was in a hurry when I read the bill.

I don't know how i missed this thread... yes I am fortunate to be among the Deepsea owners.

I absolutely love the watch, and consider it an everyday watch assuming that you have some tolerance for a chunky watch. In my collection, the Deepsea is one of my smaller watches so I have no issues with the size. I also don't find it top heavy. I'vre read so many comments about the tapered bracelet being a turn-off. I admit, that in the launch pics, I thought the same thing. I thought Rolex blew it with the tapered bracelet... but in reality, it looks perfect, fits perfect and is super comfortable. Its nice not having so much steel in the crook of my wrist when I bend it. The bezel and crown action are in a class by themselves. The crown screws down with such smoothness and ease, that I wonder how they managed to improve something so simple, and be so much better than anything I've used. You need to rty it to appreciate what I'm saying.

I do have two criticisms:
1) The lume, while nice and pright, is weaker on the hands than it is on the indices. This is a no-no im my opinion. Hands should be brightest (or equal).
2) No anti-reflective coating. This has no effect on function, as I have never had reflections hinder telling the time. But if you switch back and forth between a watch with double AR, like my Emergency Mission, the difference becomes very obvious. The Rolex crystal looks very reflective compared to the invisible crystal on many breitlings. It would have been nice to see at least some inner Ar coating.

The positives of this watch far outweigh the two criticisms, and it has become a watch that I plan to keep for a lifetime. It is truly state-of-the-art in Dive watches, classic look, and modernised to eliminate the typical Rolex complaints like the flimsy clasp or small size.

I have to say thats a great looking watch, well done on the purchase!

It's a pity they are so expensive, for me anyway, I may see if I can try one on next time I'm on the mainland!

Cheers

I have to admit that the Deepsea is practically the only Rolex that really appeals to me at all. So many of their other watches have that damned magnifying lense in the crystal over the date (MASSIVE turn-off for me). All said though, I think I'll keep sticking with my Superocean. :D

I must say I agree 100 % before seeing this model I NEVER considered another one. They are to small and I hate the magnifier as well. Just make the date window bigger and stop being cheap already. Oh and ar coating would be nice...
