So I had an encounter today that got me a little upset.......I was in line to check out and saw that the guy in front of me was wearing a Breitling, so when our eyes crossed paths, I said, "nice watch, I love Breitlings" as I flashed mine. The jerk off said with a snob voice back to me, "thanks, mines real though"????? I just laughed it off, here in California, I guess I just cant backhand anybody......After thinking about it, I realized what I was wearing, not any real nice clothes as I had just left home with my "laundry day clothes" on. I guess he must of thought I was wearing a fake because it looked like I could not afford a real one......just typeing my rant, thanx all!!!!!

Sounds like the guy was just an a$$hole. Oh well...it takes all kinds.

Sounds like the guy just owns a Breitling. Doubt he was an enthusiast.

What model were you wearing? Some models can't be faked well at all, like the Aerospace, Airwolf etc

I think I would have said something like "mines real as well but I am not an ass$%^& though" and smiled and if he reacted badly slap him down just like he deserved.

What a prat I hate people that say things like that even if you think dont say it, What a prat he deserves a slapping down for that.

Jeez I thought it was just me that happens to. I had a guy in the pub flash his 'Armani' watch at me and say 'this is real you know' I was like oh good, pleased for you...then he said 'thats a superb fake you have'...yeah no worries you knob.

I do think some idiots make there mind up before you even show it to them, A long time ago I worked on a cruise ship and I had a Breitling Aerospace. Now because I wasnt a drinker and smoker and into partying etc I didnt really fit in with the lighting guy and the lead tech whose life revolved around that lifestyle, I was with my wife and going out drinking and partying etc was something I was never interested in. Well but one night we got talking about things we like etc etc and I mentioned about watches and told them about mine well the two mupets said it was a fake and started telling the rest of the crew I was wearing a fake, I wasnt really bothered as I knew it was real but we went to turkey where they were selling $25 fakes and these two mupets bought one and started wearing them and just generally being idiots about it, I nearly lost my patience many times but I kept it. At the end of the day we know its real and if some low life scumbag dosent know the difference its there problem not mine.

Firstly the guy is a first class A-Hole, and likely has "other" issues besides rudeness. Anyone that can fire off an insult like that to a perfect stranger without a second thought is unpredictable, and likely is no stranger to confrontation. While I would be pissed and would want to push my car key into his temple, I would think about my wife and daughter at home and walk away. Just not worth it.
