This could get expensive!

Expect Breitling to insist on a service as the caseback was removed. Depending on where you are the distributor may have a record of the sale. Take the watch to an AD with all of your copies of the paperwork and they should have enough ti send it to Breitling. They'll then quote for the caseback and the work.

I have had the watch for 13yrs... I have no paperwork... It was bought from Longs when they went out of business... So they will not even help without paperwork??? I don't know what to do.. Maybe buy a fake and take the case back off it...

This thread..........

If this is an entirely genuine situation (and I stress the "IF" with a due suspension of disbelief), then just take it to an AD and they will arrange for Breitling to supply a new caseback, just like they would supply a new bezel if the bezel was damaged. Yes it will cost but its the only option available to you.

If on the other hand you're trying to make a fake look more genuine by getting hold of a genuine case back, then I suggest you just move along. Thanks.

I went to barmakians jewlers today... I showed them the watch, and they said they would call Breitling Monday... They said they would have to send it out and would not sell it... They said they probably would not sell it without the original... Plus they said it has no serial numb without a back... I am sure it has to be on the inner case if I take the movement out....

As far as the other guys post, All I wanted to do was change out the face, not make a fake and wanted a suggestion.

Well, as far as suspicious threads go, half the threads regarding appraisal of watches from "long-lost friends of the family" probably relate to stolen items as well.
I've not been here long, but I'd employ a "no warranty card, no service" policy in regards to helping some of the "unfortunates" popping in for an appraisal/an idea where to get a strap/crown/caseback, never to be heard from again.

Chrono Avenger M1 in Titanium bought 11 years ago??? How did you open the back btw? Without specialist tools how is this done and what were you trying to do? As noted the Titanium wasn't available back then. No papers, no serial no., no receipt, no location, no idea.
