Gentlemen,

I have owned a superocean for 3.5 years and it has not stopped since I bought it new. I noticed recently it is losing 6-9 seconds per day and when I looked at a new one today I also noticed how much smoother it wound than mine.

Would you suggest an official overhaul and what will I receive back? Will it wind and keep time like a new one?

Take a look at these official Breitling videos:

http://www.breitling.com/service/

They'll give you a very good idea of the processes involved

I don't think anyone has been disapointed yet

I have to wonder, how real are those videos? I wonder how much Hollywood is in there. Just the other day I saw a whole planet populated by blue people.

I strongly doubt that any watch company would put an official service video up for public eyes if it wasn't real. Just the risk of getting named and shamed would do more than minor damage to the brand. Unless we're talking a brand that would think that any publicity is good publicity...

I guess I'm more skeptical than you. There are plenty of companies who have been caught with their pants down after putting out false marketing. Many much bigger and more well known than Breitling.

The videos are accurate portrayals of clean room environments such as in Switzerland, BUSA, etc.

The environments are slightly different in smaller service centres but the process is the same.
