Ok, so last night was our company holiday dinner and the boss took us out to a very nice upscale steak restaurant, and before he arrived a few of us grabbed a beer at the bar. I decided to wear my newest addition, my Pam 000 (Sorry Roff)...
After I paid my tab, the bartender (a very attractive young lady), says "I like your Panerai"...
It paused me for a moment before I could respond with a thank you.
I mean no offense in saying this, but I found it very interesting that she recognized the watch...it's not really a brand that people know unless they are interested in watches usually, and let's be realistic, women, at least most of the ones I know could care less...
I never really take any notice when a sales woman in an AD says something because they deal with watches all day and I figure they are just showing off to sell something...but this was different.
I told my wife that I think I found my mistress ! 8)
Luckily my wife understands my humor  ... But I did sleep with one eye open last night just to be safe

:yeahthat The only complements I have gotten from women about my watches are from ones working behind jewelry counters.

My wife actually knows quite a bit about watches, thanks to yours truly (the best way to get permission to buy more watches is to get the other half interested and get her a few along the way ;) ). She can recognize several major brands (including Panerai) and goes out of her way to complement people.

She actually has a "watch whore" friend at work whom she bonded with because he was wearing his Breitling one day (he's gay.....or at least so she says Image ). He's very jealous of my collection.

i was in a restaurant the other day and two different waitresses commented on my watch (Panerai 112) neither of them knew what it was, but thought it was real nice anyway!

first time I met my current girlfriend (who also is a nice young lady  ) she complimented me on my Panerai.(I guess we can see a thread here...get a Panerai and you will get compliments by nice young girls..).
this was 1.5 years ago and currently she is the one who decides if (rarely) I can sell a watch to fund a new watch. "The Seikos you can sell because the all look the same. But the Breitlings, Panerais and Omega you are not allowed to sell!".

She is a keeper :D

It is so nice when.....

A nice lady makes a comment about your watch.

Now that I wear a Patek (not a famous brand outside watch circles) I really treasure the comments I have received. Nothing like somebody who does not know Patek from a Breitling saying that it is nice!

In all honesty... and I have asked a few ladies... ladies liked my 2 tone Rolex DateJust most! Followed by my Steel DateJust (not owned at the same time).

Females mostly did not like my Sports Rolex pieces! They liked the DateJust best!

Very true! .... Didn't affect her tip though

I have to say I really love the addition of the Pam to my collection. I just went to Tandy's leather yesterday and bought some tools and scrap leather pieces and a 1/2 hide of Veggie to try my hand at some custom straps. Should be fun.

I was wearing the zero the other day and my friends wife said "I like your watch, but I really liked the one you were wearing two days ago" ... It was the zero as well, just with a different strap! Great variety with this watch.
