I got this beauty about 2 months ago. Originally found it on Ebay, but with lousy pics. The seller was responsive to questions, and had excellent feedback going back several years, but it took her until 2 weeks after the auction ended to post new pics (nobody had bid due to lousy photos). I kept corresponding with her, though, because I looooved this watch and according to the LE/SE thread here, there were only 100 TTs made in black and another 100 TTs in white. After a few more emails, I was able to determine (as I had suspected) that she was selling the watch for somebody else who was not tech-saavy. She had asked the owner to take more pictures, but it took the poor guy 3 weeks to figure out how to get the photos off of his digital camera and send them to her.

I ended up talking with the owner on the phone, and determined that he seemed like a straightforward and honest guy. We worked out a deal where we used an online escrow service, and pretty soon I had a great watch at a great price.

So what started out as a suspicious auction turned out to be a flawless transaction between two honest parties. It pays to be polite and persistent.

I have been dying to take pictures, but between me being insanely busy before 6 straight weeks of travel and the Seattle weather kicking in, it's been tough. So when we had some sun today, I ran out and took pictures of all of our watches. (I should have taken a little more time to wipe this one clean a little, though).

I don't think I'll ever sell this one! It is also an anniversary present from my wife (I got her a Chrono Cockpit with diamonds). I suppose everything has its price (like Roff's $100K LeMans ), but anything less than $10k would not tempt me in the slightest. I certainly can't say that for any of my other watches.

Another satisfying thing about it was when I took it to a local watchmaker to be appraised and he put it on his testing unit, he said that it was the closest to perfect movement he had ever measured. So I guess Breitling does work a little harder on the Bentley movements.

Impressive. Somehow manages to have real wrist presence, but without being "in your face", if you know what I mean?

I'm not usually a fan of TT watches but that Bentley looks awesome. That color really looks great. Great piece

Yeah, that's my model with a burgundy dial. I didn't even know they made a burgundy-dialed TT. It's not a LE, just an even-more-special special edition. The thread on this site that has all of the LEs and SEs says that 100 were made with the black dial and another 100 with white, but nothing about burgundy. My guess is that it's 50 or fewer.

I am not even going to show that one to my wife. She thinks my GT will fit her Image, and she really likes red dials. But it's already sold, and it doesn't have papers. The other thing I notice is that it is missing a link in the picture, but the listing doesn't say if it's included. My guess is no. So I would need to get an extra link for that, which I could be rather expensive.

But, wow, that is a good lookin' watch. Thanks for pointing that out.
