I have to write a paper on the paradigm shift in higher level education (less fun than it sounds  )

As you may know if you read my contant ramblings, I have been craving a number of jaegers for a while now, and never pulled the trigger for one reason or the other. I also found myself bored with the standard menu, tons of great chronos out there but I have had over 20 and would rather get something more unique and interesting, throw in my love for GMT watches and the Extreme W-Alarm really does fit the bill to a T.

I had intended on getting the Tides of Time edition as I love the blue, but was offered a fantastic deal on the standard edition i decide to go for it and I am very happy I did!

The watch has an extremely high end finish! Better than any other watch I own or have owned in the past! Built like a tank and wear great on the wrist. The sound of the alarm is very clear and finishes off with a very clean sound, unlike some other alarms that end off with a wheezing sound or ding like a cheap alarm clock.

The dial itself is pure genius, the functions are perfectly placed and are easy to set and read, I love the dedicated dials and the arrows indicating the direction and purposes of each crown.

The strap is also fantastic, in fact this is the first strap, OEM or otherwise, that I can honestly say compares and maybe even exceeds that of Breitling! Which is more a compliment to Breitling since this watch costs double what a Bentley does.

I would not hesitate to buy this watch again, and this will definitely not be my last Jaeger! If you are thinking of one, do it!

Love it all! Besides the red crown..I think it looks cheap. IMO.

I love that watch. I love the red crown too. JLC is the only maker that I know that I could see myself owning a lot of in addition to Breitling. And youre definitely right on with the straps. They are the only ones ive handled that can rival the ones on a B. Congrats on an amazing acquisition.

Great watch, Altair, thanks for posting the review. It looks fantastic, especially on that strap. I tried one on last week, but it had a strap with white stitching.

Thanks for the review Altair, and thanks for pushing me back to look at JLC yet again (I think).

Good review Altair. Once again It's a stunning watch that looks better each time I see it. JLC seems like a great brand to consider.

Your wish is my comand

First time doing this so excuse the shabby videography! That weird sound you hear is the lens focusing, took this using a still video camera so the quality is so so :?

However I played around with the functions so you could see them and compared it next to a 44mm Steingheart Ti LE I just got, love the brown dial!

:D Great stuff Altair! That is so much of a nicer sound than most other alarms I've heard on mechanical watches. Some are just a hideous buzzing noise. Your one also seems to last a lot longer than even other JLC models. Excellent stuff.
