I am a new user to the brietling forum. I am looking to buy a brand new chronomat evolution (model # 449). The best price I have gotten from an authorized dealer is 21% off list. Is this a good deal, I read somewhere that the maximum dealers give is about 20% off list.

First of all, welcome to the forum!

Your discount will depend on a few variables, but you should be able to do better than 21%. I would calculate a better price, say around 30% off, and take only that amount of cash with you to the AD. I guarantee they won't let you leave with the money.

Whatever their discount limit is, it's nowhere near 20%.

LaSwiss Downtown Montreal is currently running 30% off list on all Breitlings plus the US dollar is still at 6% vs its Canadian counterpart effectively bringing discount to 36% which is about as good ad it gets. Total out the door around $4200 USD. Might be worth a trip if you are near Canadian border. Ask for Jack, he hooked me up with a leather strap oem Breitling for $125 tax in. Great service and great prices.
