The main model number (A13370) hasn't changed, the suffixes in the full extension model number codes the dial. Stencils were introduced in Basel but I understood them to be an addition to the 'normal' arabics, not a replacement. If the AD has ordered it then I would suggest that a quick phone call would confirm which one was ordered!

Here are some quick shot of my new SA. Now I need a better camera.... :?
Note the small differences between iterations; which parts of which numbers are cut off vs. other versions, size and placement of wings logo, etc.

Congrats on the SA Jeremy. I have a yellow Breitling cloth that I usually go over my watches with after I put them on.

Where did you get the cloth, and/or where could I get one? Is it just a microfiber polishing cloth?

Not bad looking shots at all! You have good taste in watches too. :lingsrock:

It's true the older style is a little different, but what also might be happening is you've seen pictures from different angles which can really affect how much of the number looks cut off. If so, this could possibly have you believing there is more variants than there really is. I spent some time on this back when I was shopping for an SA because I didn't care much for cut-off subs. I did eventually learn to accept them and now doesn't bother me at all. I'm very new to Breitling and better watches in general so it has been a bit of a learning process the last 6 months. (5 new watches)

Thanks Fear, is it a La Swiss store? here in the GTA (Toronto) all AD's I called at the time did not have any SA's in stock. placed the order with La Swiss in Toronto (Yorkdale location) and was told latest would be end of Jan and as early as first week of Jan. really not sure how the model numbers work at La Swiss though?

Guess the question is, if they started making the new dial, is it reasonalble to expect the newer version to arrive for my order?

no, its in florida/ but he can ship i know that

Ok...This thread is a little confusing I think I am following everything...My question is...Since the baton dial version of the SA has been released about a year ago, have there been any changes to the dial or bracelet (like how the bentley bracelet now say breitling for bentley instead of just breitling on the clasp) thos sort of changes, wings logo larger now? saying automatic above one of the subdials etc? Please confirm! Thanks!

From memory, no changes to the baton dial since it was added, but I'm not 100% so someone else can correct me.

Anyone wanna comment also? Anyone know for sure?

Also, Roff, I agree I thought that when the new numerals thing came up for the first time I understood it also to be an addition but maybe not I cant quite remember. Maybe we just assumed. I for one love the baton, i dont like numerals on a watch dial unless their roman...but..if i had to choose numbers the older style is better in my opinion bc the other numbers should be strictly for the skyland etc....I think its the skyland that they r on ( the more military styleish one)

Wow I never noticed your signature before! You have some seriously high end Breitling there my friend... very nice! That factory diamond bezel looks very sharp and i am not usually a fan... do you have a thread with more pictures?

This is a "newer" type of old (first) dial (with the big wings) and it's completely legit.

so I spoke to my AD this morning and confirmed that they ordered the SA with the Stencil numbers (although they still refer to it as Arabic) she confirmed that the Automatic is written above the 6 o'clock dial in red as well as swiss made below it. she also advised that this is the only numbers version available as per the book, so it looks like this version has replaced the previous Arabic numbers.

makes me feel better:)

Cheers all....

Still looking to know if anyone knows any changes to the Baton style dial? I see that on Breitlings website the wings logo is large and automatic is written above the 6oclock sub dial. However, nothing about being swiss is written under the dial? Is there an even newer version that has this like the stenciled number version?

No changes on baton dial.
"Swiss made" is only on stenciled numbers dial.
