I know we have gone off topic slightly, however I would like to say that as a Chef he is very well respected! I was in Wandsworth in those days and by eckkles cakes did he earn his stripes.

mpw, is a interesting man and I assume a great Chef also so you might be interested in the politics involved in the Autos, it speaks.

Mr Ramsey's auto is very interesting reading, the man has been through a lot! and topped.

Is it 8 stars....!

Any way..... he also has good taste in watches.

I read about the Australian situation at the time and I couldn't understand why he was doing what he was doing. No doubt he can be sexist (as many chefs are), but it seemed as if he was just digging himself a deeper hole each time he opened his mouth. I think anyone in that business - much like any other entertainment business, sort of - is probably deeply flawed in one way or another and sometimes those flaws surface. Either way, I'd love to sit down to a meal with the guy.

Definitely a case of chronic foot-in-mouth in this instance. Even our PM called him an idiot (not exact words but you get the drift  ). To be fair he's been pretty quiet since then. While visiting Sydney late this yearhe tried to make a joke out of the whole thing, which I don't think went down that well as his approach was more along the lines of 'I can't understand why what I said was so awful' as opposed to 'I'm sorry for what said'.

Anyway all good. Far better to focus on his cooking.

I liked (past tense) to watch his shows for the same reasons as above, and also to see what watch he had on. Lately, I've not bothered as the format is getting kind of predictable and the novelty has worn off. The Jamie Oliver show "American Road Trip" is interesting for its cultural content!

Referring to Gordons aussie incident, it seems that since then, his PR people must've told him to cool off and wind his neck in. The struggling state of his empire may be due to the global recession more than his popularity though.
Also, he has apparently self-censored his F Word shows over here in UK, maybe he realises that arrogance doesn't work when business isn't great.
