finally pulled the trigger on the Super Avenger yesterday at La Swiss in Yorkdale... ordered the Black dial with white subdials with SS pro2 bracelet... now comes the hard part...waiting until January for it to arrive:(

called every AD in TO, all sold out. Square one only had 1 white dial in stock.

Cheers all.. counting the days to January:)

I would have to Agree, Sousi was great to deal with. I would have hoped for a better discount. I recieved a 25% discount however, would have thought 30% would have been obtainable.

In any case, give or take a couple hundred bucks, she was better then any other AD i visited. The Chronos by LA Swiss in Vaughn Mills is the worst.. they will never get my business. they would not provide any discount, not even the taxes...rediculous if you ask me.

^^^^ they just lost a sale.

I would recomment Sousi as Roffensian recommended to me.

Thanks Roffensian for the info..

I’m a new member to this forum …so hello to you all and I recently just bought a Colt Auto 11 from a AD in New York (impulse buy)
I just went to La Swiss in Yorkdale 2 weeks ago and they were so helpful with a band adjustment. Looking for a second Breitling already and will be sure to buy there. I will be sure to ask for Sousi and at least a 25% discount...lol...

Congratulations on the SA, very nice!! Sorry to hear about the wait although it will be well worth it; you'll just want it more day by day :D Hopefully it arrives sooner, now wouldn't that be a nice Christmas gift.

its going to be a painfull wait for sure... gives me time to look for the diamond bezel though:)

any thoughts on the 2 row vs. single row?

both would be aftermarket.

I noticed that you have the factor bezel listed in your sig for the SA, unfortuneately, I dont see how I can justify spending 6k for 1.50k diamonds.. understand that the aftermarket will not match the craftmanship of Breitling, however, hear that it is still of great quality and a fraction of the cost.

Any reason why you are against aftermarket bezels?

there is a noticable difference in quality in both the diamonds and the settings. stainles steel is very hard to set stones in, it needs to be done with a laser. i have had aftermarket bezels in the past and lost a stone and couldnt find anyone within a thousand miles who could reset it in stainless.

i also feel like its kinda like putting an amg badge on your e350, know what i mean??

Fear:

thank you for your input. I am sure there are others on this forum that would agree with your opionion on aftermarket bezels, however; the fact remains that 6-7K for a bezel with 1.23 ctw diamonds is astronomical. the bezel costs more then the watch alone. The diamonds are very small, not that visible. The diamonds used by Breitling are not that special and unique and would be available to the general public. have a look at bluenile and look at the loose diamonds you can purchase. I agree that the craftmanship will most definitely be better then any aftermarket bezel, however, that still does not justify the cost, IMAO.

One would not compare an E320 to and AMG nor would one compare a replica Breitling to the original. I bought an original Breitling for the build of the watch, movement, inner workings etc... however the bezel is IMO an accessory which will not hinder the functionality of the watch.

fact that I can custom order a 3.40 ctw diamond Bezel from Liori Diamonds with equal quality diamonds for about 2K, not much to think about really.

Although some prefer prefection and are willing to spend the extra $$, i would rather apply that to a future Ling or perhaps another brand.

I am not out to duplicate the original bezel design, i actually prefer the single row and have since decided to add, 2.40 ctw on top (.06 each at 40 diamonds) and another 1 ctw on the side ( another 40 diamonds at .025 each). it all comes down to preference and the look you are going for and what makes your watch different for the rest. Bottom line, be it myself or anyone else buying an aftermarket bezel, its whatever makes them happy, thats what truely counts.

Appreciate your feedback, your watch is spectacular, and sure it appeals to your taste, but again to each their own.

Best regards,

My choice of SA if I was getting one. I chose an AS as I thought it would be more practical for day to day wearability but hanker after one of these now a bit.

Please send us pics as soon as you get it (normal bezel and "blinged up" bezel). The wait will be worth it I'm sure of that :D
