How about a vintage Chronomat (off white/Champagneish..)

This gets my vote.

Great condition – still looks sharp after, what, 35 years?

For me, as a watch enthusiast:

1. the early seventies, with the advent of the automatic chronograph (1969 actually), was the apex of mechanical watchmaking before the quartz re(de)volution.

2. The big case Navis were the biggest and most complex expression of mechanical chronograph design from that era.

Some of the other watches pictured on this thread are beautiful – but they don’t have quite the same credibility IMHO.

All very nice choices, I think it's impossible to choose just one. My father just bought a white dialed B01 with romans... I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. It's his first breitling and he traded in his monaco heur to get it. I think he'll be happy with the step up. I turned my family into a breitling family. I bought a CSO and my brother followed suit and bought a Bentley GT racing... now 3 years later my dad goes out and gets a B01.... copy cats

I totally agree, particularly after seeing all the responses above.

I personally liked the World, Bentley options and the Olympus but that's me...

I really like the white Montbrillant Legende, although lately, the white SuperOcean Heritage 125 Year Limited Edition has caught my eye. I tried one on at the AD and I think it's absolutely beautiful.

This is a great topic because im hooked at the moment on white dials.
Last week I went to my AD to try the new B01. I liked what I saw but LOVED the new Rolex Datejust II, 41 mm ss/wg, white dial with markers even more. I know some are not interested if its not breitling but a great watch must be admired whatever the brand..
Anyways untill my new white dial comes in.. here's my much loved Chronomat Evolution. I have since added diamonds but have not made any pics just yet. They will come later.

Here is my white omega as well.

pete

For white, I kinda prefer the more "tool" watches, like the Steelfish, the Chrono Seawolf, and the Chrono SuperOcean. Here's my Steelfish with "silver" dial:

I agree that is a beauty... the Crosswind LE and SOH Chrono are also stunners!
