Had some time on my hands tonight and thought of a little experiment. I tried the OR deployant on the speed. I dug around my box of goodies and found some pins that would fit the OR deployant and off i went. It's pretty cool i guess. Anyway here is the outcome.

Cheers

Fantastic... I need details!! What was involved in this retrofit? Just a couple pins?

I've never owned a OR so I have no idea how it functions... but I love the look and would like to do this to my Motors.

Well done!

It looks nice. However, the deploymant clasp DOES self-adjust as soon as it comes in contact with anything such as; a table, desk, your leg - whatever!

Also, your speed bracelet appears to have the same linkage "concern" that I had with mine. What I mean is, when your watch is strapped to your wrist, the deploymant or original clasp is NOT centered on the underside of your wrist. Am I wrong? I had to remove a link from one side and move it to the other side of the clasp to then have the clasp centered on the underside of my wrist. Once I did this (it took me an hour as some of the links had a screw on each side of the link requiring two small screwdrivers being used at the same tiime) my clasp was centered and thus more comfortable.

Some people may not care about such "little" things. For me, my watch face now sits better on my wrist and the clasp is not dead centre on my wrist. This was a great adjustment for me...

Yeah it was just a couple of pins. Nothing fancy, just some pins that were in my box of goodies that would fit the OR. The only thing was, that one side was very hard to put in and i actually bent one pin trying to get the strap in. So i got a shorter pin and pushed it into place with a little force and "click" it was in.

I don't have those issues with my OR deployant. I've read some posts where some have had this problem but mine just stays where i set it to. As for the fitment, it is a little off and i can always add one here, take one from there or just flip the bracelet around. This was just a quick fitting to see if the OR would work.

I always set my watches up so there are more links on the 12:00 side of the bracelet and less on the 6:00. For me this keeps the watch from rotating towards the backside of my wrist, and keeps it centered on top of my wirst normally. I usually have a 2 link difference between the 6 and 12:oo sides of the bracelet.

Really? Just knowing that it "could" be centered on my wrist was enough motivation to do it. I have not experienced any rotating concerns and trust me, if I did, they WOULD be addressed. Now that the Speed bracelet is centered, it is more confortable and the watch-face sits perfectly on top of my wrist.

Good times. However, I would not want to do this very often. Trying to hold two tiny screw drivers on two tiny screw heads was tedious work. I got frustrated many-a-time. At one point, I gave up and grabbed the needle-nose pliers to hold the screw from turning. It worked and I did not scratch the bracelet...
