Hi all. I stayed up last night watching the Yankee game and decided to watch the date change on my Navi. World and noticed that it started turning at around 11:50 and it kept slowly turning till 55 min. then at exactly at 12 it stayed in the same position did not turn over as i was expecting it to turn with the min. hand just like my Quarts movement anyway at around 5 min past the midnight it turned so quick that i didn't even notice it.. We also had to turn our clocks back for daylight savings and i switched it back at 6am to 5. Also my watch does run fast about 1 min. a month, is that ok? Usually when i notice it running fast after a couple of moths i just adjust it and i was just wondering if by me adjusting it would result in the date switching like it does. I try to do it within the time frame of 8pm and 4am.. I don't know if all this is a problem or i'm just bugging.

There is nothing wrong. Watches that don't have instant change dates rarely change at exactly midnight.

As Roff says, the time change after the hour is ok but if you are setting the time between the hours you stated be sure to wind time forward and not backward. This can result in damage to the watch. I think to be on the safe side I would try to set the time outside of those hours.

That's ok. It's within cosc specs.

I did set it backwards one hour, you think i messed something up?
And i always adjust it when it goes too fast back a few min. Am i messing it up? Cause it's a little inconvenient to do it forward, then i have to go though the whole calender for just two min. or even just for one hour. It doesn't make sense, all these engineers making these complicated watches and they can't make one where it would be convenient to set it back an hour or even a few min. Thanks for your input..

I think i messed up. I meant to say i don't set the time in that time frame, like it says in the manual "8pm to 4am" Sorry my mistake .

If your not within that time frame, you can do pretty much whatever you want.the easiest way to get the date right is to set it to the day before with the quickset, and then use the time set to do 12 hour revolutions until the date changes on its own. Its helps you get your am/pm correct. And if you need to wind your watch back an hour, go for it, just not within the specified time frame.

You can definitely go backward if youre outside of the time frame. Even if you mistakenly attempt to do it within the wrong hours, you will usually feel some resistance in the crown that should tell you to stop doing whatever it is that youre doing. Unless youve felt some type of forced breakage, youre probably fine.

As I said there's nothing wrong - 12:05 for a date change is perfecctly normal.

As others have said, if you are outside the 8pm - 3am process then there is no risk of damage.

Ok guy's thanks a lot now I can rest easier. It was my fault for writing something different, i was a little scared and i reallly thought i messed something up.Now i feel much better so thanks again.

I always was concerned about this as well...but just as Roff said as long its from those specifications you should be ok!
