I was wondering if I could get some advice on purchasing a new (possibly but haven’t decided yet) chronomat B01 for everyday wear. I must admit I haven’t really had much interest in owning a quality watch until I picked up a starliner for my wife’s birthday/Christmas present a few days ago. While I was picking out her watch I couldn’t help but notice a beautiful chronomat B01 with a blue dial and pilot bracelet in the case along side the starliner. After spending some time looking around the dealer I can definitely see why you are all so enthusiastic about watches.

I haven’t yes had the chance to go back and try it on as I thought it best to mull it over first, if I go back I’m sure I will end up buying it!!!!!

Anyways, to my question, is this a reasonable watch to be wearing for every day use, or should I perhaps be looking at something a bit less expensive. I guess it’s not the actual cost that’s the issue, but whether the watch will hold up to being used every day, I guess I kind of compare it to putting a nice suit on to go out back and cut the grass…………… you might look good doing it, but does it really make sense.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I CURRENTLY WEAR A DIAMOND BEZEL SUPERAVENGER DAILY. IT AL LDEPENDS ON WHAT YOU DO ALL DAY REALLY. MY BROTHER IS FUNNY, HE HAS A B01 FOR A DAILY. HE PUTS IT ON EVERY AM, AFTER HE GETS OUT OF THE SHOWER. GOES TO WORK ( DRUG REP) THEN COMES HOME AND TAKES IT OFF, CLEANES IT WITH A CLOTH, PUTS IT IN ITS CASE, PUTS ON ANOTHER WATCH FOR AROUND THE HOUSE AND GOES TO BED. EVERY DAY. WHEN HE MOWS THE LAWS, HE TAKES IT OFF AND THEN GOES AND PUT ON HIS LAWN MOWING WATCH, THEN CHANGES BACK TO HIS B01 AFTER. ME, I TAKE IT OFF TO SLEEP AND SHOWER, IF I AM WORKIGN ON MY CAR OR SOMETHIGN, I TAKE IT OFF, BUT OTHERWISE, ITS ON MY WRIST. THE WATCH WILL HOLD UP FINE, ITS VERY STURDY, MINUTE WEAR SCRATCHES WILL BUFF OUT ALL THE TIME. BUY IT, LOVE IT WEAR IT!!

I agree with FEAR. The Windrider range of Breitling watches are more than hardy enough for general day to day wear............ assuming you don't mix concrete or something for a living! To be honest I know people who wear Navitimers everyday without any issues and the Navi range are probably the least hardy of all the Breitling models. I'd say that ALL Breilting watches are made to be worn and none should be considered as "safe queens". Personally I always remove my watches for anything like sports or DIY and that keeps them in great condition, so as long as you use common sense (i.e. don't go using a pneumatic drill with one on) you should be absolutely fine wearing a B01 every day.

+1 more from me. As long as your day to day is pretty normal, any Breitling should be more than adequate.
