Recently I noticed that my cockpit watch has been stopping when I am not wearing it over night. Is it common that after a 10-12 hour period that it would stop due lack of motion for that short period of time or should I take it in for a check up.

If it has a full wind then it should be good for 42 hours. It's possible that you aren't active enough to give it a full wind so try winding it when you take it off and see if it still stops. If it does then off to Breitling, if not then it may not be a problem.

That said, if you haven't changed your wearing habits then it may be a problem. It shouldn't need a service yet though, how old is it?

The watch is about three years old, I will try the full wind. Thanks for the feed back.
