When you buy a new watch that has to be shipped, say one costing in the range of 3k-4k, should the buyer expect insurance coverage from the dealer in the event there's a problem? I'm about ready to close a deal but twice the seller has not answered about the insurance, just commented on the payment and shipping methods. I believe this dealer is good, and even found a few positive remarks searching this forum, but I don't like surprises. (especially ones that cost me a lot of money)

I ship quite a bit myself so know the chances of a missing item are slim, but it has happened to me several times.

While I don't ship a lot of items I would absolutely expect a dealer to put insurance on something that expensive! I would back off if there was a chance I could get stuck losing 4 grand......

Thanks. I just read the details again and it does state all watches are sent insured with signature required. He must have just overlooked my questions about it. Anyway, I think it should be an easy deal now. :lingsrock:
