I'm afraid the job done on the SA is no good - the brushing needs to be in the same direction! The SA looks like a kid's colouring in with a texta...it goes every which way.

For a watch that costs so much you really should get a pro to do it.

when using the scotch brite, I like to use it slighty wet and I hold the watch band and go over it quick with no pressure at all. I only do this my daily beater Seiko. I would never try it on a Breitling or any other expensive watch!

I like fooling around and have brushed a bunch of piece's but nothing high-end! My rolex Sub, omega and Breitlings go to a pro, just too much money involved for me to mess with it!! But give me an old seiko diver and i will change the dial, hands and finish. If i screw up i'm out 150-200 dollars so it's no big deal! Here is a Seiko 6309-7040 that i just finished and it looks ok!

Despite the close up pics and bright lighting, this watch really looks nice under normal conditions (on wrist, normal lighting). Since those photos were taken, some of the lines have been straightened out. I'm leaving it brushed as it looks too good (in person) to change back.

I was just telling a friend that the watch would look much better in person, Macro shots really show alot of detail you wont see in person! You did a fine job, i would only try to keep brush marks straighter! :lingsrock:

Thanks, T-Bone! It was my first attempt.

Nothing wrong with a brushed SA, but like others have stated, the brushmarks absolutely need to go in the same direction.

My Rolex Sub has the case going at a 45 degree angle and the bracelet "top to bottom". This is the model I used for the SA - meaning, brushing is different directions.

Admittedly, that is interesting. While I could likely never bring myself to do it, the thought of having my Super Avenger PVD coated has crossed my mind.
