just a quick question for all members, a friend of mine has recently purchased an omega sea master planet ocean, it has no box, no papers, etc. and recently one of the chronograph pushers fell out!, which i thought was extremely unusual as they are usually fastened into the mechanism itself, i have never heard of this happening before, and i searched the internet for hours, another friend and i both believe it is fake, but i don't know enough about them to confirm, please let me know your opinions.

99% of the PO fakes all have little upturned "feet" on the ends of the Omega symbol on the dial - the genuine watches have flat feet on the logo. That's probably the easiest way to pick a fake PO.

Additionally the lume will be rubbish compared to the genuine article which is like a lighthouse.

Well I guess it could happen on a genuine Omega as nothing in this world is totally infallable, but it's a million times more likely to happen on a fake!

Like Sharky said it sounds like a fake to me.

Should have done this earlier to illustrate D8's bang on way of telling even the best replica POs. Sorry the pics are small but I couldn't find any macro dial shots on Google :)

You can also see the logo is closer to the word Omega on the gen compared to the fakes.

It's loupe stuff though and only and Omega WIS would spot it with the naked eye.
