Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to all the people that have helped me on my way to getting my first Breitling! It really does make all the difference when there are experts such as yourselves helping us 'newbies' out... As for the watch I finally got (and love!): its a Navi World with a silver face and SS strap! It's only 18 months old and its a minter! I got it at Ian Blowers and got an excellent deal on it...The people there really were friendly and I would obviously recommend them to anybody, although I think they have a good enough name on here without my endorsement!

Heres a link to the pics if anyone is interested...

Anyway, thanks again for all the help and I hope to be a contributing member on the site in the future.

Regards,

Richard

Just kidding

Congratulations on joining the Breilting club. I've dealt with Blowers in the past and had a great experience. So what's next?

A beautiful watch. I've just picked up a 6.75 and I've already got my eye on the next one. That will either be a navitimer or a world or a datora.

BTW I think you should consider getting a blue leather croco strap to use as an alternate with your watch. The blue would pick out superbly the blue 24 hour markers. I think it would look stunning!

I bought a brown croco strap to swap around with the SS bracelet. It feels like you have two completely different watches.

Yes, the cheapest way to get another watch is to get a different strap/bracelet for an existing one. It is amazing how it makes the same watch look totally different.

I own 3 Breitlings now (working on the 4th...hopefully soon), and this forum has been absolutely invaluable in helping me in my watch collecting. I peruse other forums for different brands, but I think this site here as the best group of contributors. Congratulations! You'll be wanting another one, soon.

Hi Richard,

Glad to be of service.

Roff......... you.......... :D

That's the sort of person who's on here Richard, welcome to the crazy world of Ling, hope you enjoy your new watch, and the stimulating conversation, witty banter, oh and a load of all things Breitling you are going to find on this site.

All the best,

Ian.

yep you certainly got me with that one, and I'm glad you all find it amusing! I would have died if it was fake! I must admit I can already feel this becoming an expensive hobby, although I don't know what watch I would buy next! Maybe the super-avenger with black steel and a rubber strap....looks nice to me! I also like the datora though!

As for your suggestion about a blue strap mpthomas - I think its a good idea! Will have to have a look around soon...I've not seen that combo before either. Nice choice with the 6.75 btw!
