Tourneau is just about the only store on the upper East Side that you don't have to "buzz in" to enter. I'm sure that's what attracts the thieves. As I posted during my trip, they are "the devil you know"; don't deal much, some seamy sales people, but they have tremendous variety and a tremendous amount of inventory. They had more JLC than Wempe, and they were the only store where I could put a JLC next to a Glashutte next to a Blancpain in the models that had my interest. Yet, downstairs, they have tons of G-shocks, Suuntos, and lesser watches. I had never seen a Vulcain before until I was there last week. I'd much sooner buy from the boutiques or Wempe, but they are the ultimate showcase for variety.
