Hi Guys,

I just noticed something that I think is rather odd about the placement of the lume on the hands of the Chrono Cockpit (and perhaps other models). Breitling put lume on the minute and hour hands -- no oddities there. Then Breitling also put lume on the chono second hand, but not on any of the hands of any of the subdials. I can't think of why it would be important to be able to see how many seconds have elapsed on the chrono in the dark without being able to see the minutes or hours that have elapsed. I know that other Breitlings do have lume on the subdial hands, but was wondering if anyone can think of a reason why the lume is applied in the manner I described on the CC.

Thanks!

Neither my skyland or navi have lume on the sub dial hands. The skyland has it on the chrono hand, the navi does not. One specification of a true divers divers watch according to iso 6425 is that there must be some indication of whether or not the watch is running in complete darkness. Thats probably the reason for the lumed second hand, and not so much for you to actually time things (although im not sure how many, if any, breitlings actually conform to iso 6425).
