Looks like a wire mesh wheel. I usually like textured dials, so I will reserve judgement. :|

I applaud the attempt to add some interest, but that's not really working for me.

Not for me.

My guess is that with the expanded Chronomatic range, Breitling wishes to distinguish the GT more from the traditional chronograph design. To me, the GT has always been very reminiscent of the Chronomatic, especially with the black dial/silver subdials - just with a 7750, a knurled bezel and a bit more bling.

I quite like textured/patterned dials – and some of Rolex’s recent offerings have really caught my eye. I particularly like the wave pattern on the Day-Date. But frankly, on a chronograph – especially with a whizz wheel, it just gets a bit much. To me, those spaces in between the silvered subdials don’t need that criss-crossing pattern.

I like textured dials too (love my Skyracer), when they are actual textured, but this looks to be just printed on. I can't even figure out what the pattern is supposed to represent... the best I can come up with is the stitching on the seams of my jeans.

The rest of the dial, subdials etc looks good to me, they just ruined it with the printed pattern.

Im a big fan of the Bentley GT's but this one does not do it for me. However I have thought this about several watches I have seen pictures of in the past, and then ended up really liking them in the flesh - the B01 being a recent example.

So in answer to your original question... I will stay firmly sat on my fence and reserve judgement!

Breitling really need to take a long hard look at their design dept. Unless they really did mean to make a beautifully crafted watch look like a tasteless POS!

Too gimicky and, like a lot of recent Breitling models, too much of a departure from the "Instrument for Professionals" ethos of great legibility, pure functionality etc, that Breitling are famous for.

Horrible.
