That being said, an AD is ALWAYS as safer bet. If you are in the US, the now Legendary George of Govberg will essentially match most of the grey market dealers on price with service that is incomparable. PM jnelson3097 for contact info (I have bought both of my Lings from George -- could not recommend him more highly!!)
If in Canada Roffensian (moderator) has an AD that he may help you with.
If in the UK, Andrew Michaels Jewellers has been the go-to in the Martime Isles.
A long answer to a short question. Do your research (like most of us here have) and you will discover that for a new, especially FIRST, Breitling that an AD is worth it! :lingsrock: Good Luck!!!

I think what Doc said is true, Govberg is a goto place for NEW pieces.

However, my two most recent purchases have been for now-discontinued lings. One came via eBay, one from a private seller via Timezone.

For ebay, the things you need to look for are:
1) Long time seller, high feedback ratings, specifically for watches.
2) Many of them have real retail storefronts, check them out.
3) Lots of high quality pictures, showing every angle, closeups, matching paperwork, etc.
4) A clear return policy that allows some time for you to get the watch authenticated locally

Similar rules apply for private sellers. But remember that you get more protection from ebay/paypal from a purchase within ebay.

:yeahthat

This guy is 100% genuine - jmryshi Not a big seller of Breitlings but totally reputable.

IMHO, 99% of sellers on eBay are honest. Just be sure to ask for further opinion on here before spending your money!
