A friend of mine who doesn't know much about watches just spent $1000.00 USD on an Oakley watch, seems like a lot to me. I have only seen it once, and it doesn't look very well made. Just curious if anyone knows anything about these watches.

VERY OVER PRICED....................Worth about $150.00 at best. A couple of my fellow co-workers had them and they are junk.

I know Govberg has a few on their sale section on their website that are pretty out there design wise, but I agree, they do seem overpriced.

Yea I got a good look at it tonight and didn't see anything that really impressed me. Almost seemed like a toy more than anything else. Guess the Oakley name is the main thing selling these watches.

I own an Oakley watch that I purchased several years ago prior to my interest in Swiss made watches and I have to say now looking back it was way overpriced. The only reason I bought it was the name. Don't get me wrong it keeps good time but so does a Casio...

I don't care for anything Oakley really. I have seen their watches they look ridiculous, more gimmick than timepiece. For a grand I can name 100 brands I'd rather own.

I like Oakley sunnies. 8)

Not the watches though - tried one a long long time ago and it just struck me as a bit "fashion" with no substance.

Agreed... I just bought several Oakley sunglasses about 6 months ago, and absolutely love them. The M-frames completely rock. Not going for the watches, though.

Yeah, I've owned more than a few pairs of their sunnies, which are great. Not a fan of the watches though.

I pretty much exclusively wear their glasses. The two areas do not intersect in my mind. Just like Breitling and Louis Vuitton.

Oakley only good in their sunglasses and garment apparel, other than that it's only rebranding and the quality is low :nana:

I agree with the others here. The sunglasses are good, but the rest of their stuff is overpriced. I found this out the hard way with an Oakley laptop bag. It looked fancy but the build quality was poor, materials were cheap, and there were significant design flaws that annoyed me on a daily basis.
