Hey I am brand new to this forum as well as the Breitling Watch world. My problem is that my watch stops between the 40-45 minute mark every hour. For instance it will stop at 11:40, until i reset the second hand. When the second hand reaches the 40-45 mark while the minute hand is there, this is when it stops. What does this mean? Any advice?

Not sure what it means (Roff will tell you) but the end answer is the same: To your local AD for service -- that just ain't right! Sorry. :(

Yeah, I will absolutely take it to the AD, but they are not opened today, so I am just sitting around with a beautiful watch that does not work properly and was looking for any information to make me feel a little more at ease if possible :(

Sorry my friend. No calm to offer. Do not know enough about the movement to tell you what is wrong. Sorry.

If all hands are stopping in the same place then it sounds like the hands are fouling on hte crystal or dial - common with a drop.

As BoneDoc say - off to the AD.

What model is it? It still has to go to the AD no matter the model. I'm just curious.

I'm assuming the watch has a center sweep second hand and not a chronograph center seconds hand that has been started and left to run continuously. It's possible that the minute hand has been knocked out of alignment by an impact as Roff suggests. Most hands are tight enough not to be dislodged by a hit. :? The watch movement determines the design of the motion works that drive the hands, which is where I suspect the problem is located. I hope it is the hand alignment, but be prepared for more than just having a hand reinstalled.

Good luck!

Just wanted to give you guys an update...I took it in and I've got it back already, it turns out that the second hand was hitting the minute hand and needed to be adjusted. I am very happy I've got it back and thanks for your help everyone :lingsrock:
