So went to Vegas a month and a half ago and should have posted this a while ago. Younger brother is a pro poker player so hung out with him and his buddies quite a bit. Lots of Breitings and lots of Breitlings for Bentley. Pretty regular stuff, though not to say great looking watches.

Went to various shops and saw quite a few great looking Breitlings. Hard Rock had a front window display mostly consisting of SA and many with Diamonds. Great looking, but not for me. Obviously selling to their clientel.

The best by far was @ the Venetian. Called Horlogio, I am sure that many have been. They had a small selection of approx 36 Breitlings. About half were SA with Diamond, the other were some limited edition stuff that I had either never seen or never had the chance to see in person. Of note were some gold navitimers which were just stunning, some gold B4B's, again stunning, and then there it was. B4B Mulliner Tourbillon. Just beautiful. The woman in the store was nice and not stuck up at all, even though my Steelfish costs about 1/80th what the Mulliner costs. She was nice enough to take it out and let me handle it. The store was not busy, which was great. I had to see it ticking, so I asked her if she would fire it up. After struggling to get it wound up enough, she finally just wound at the crown. Unbelievable in motion. Looked great on my wrist, my wife even thought so. She didn't know what it cost and I made her guess. She made me take it off, immediately. I should have taken some more time and really looked at what they had, I was just a bit overwhelmed.

All in all, the stores were a great break from the craps tables.

On a non-Breitling note, the IWC @ the Palazzo was staffed with really nice people who let me try everything on and were not stuffy in the least. This was the first time that I had handled their watches, and they are great too. Very refined.

I didn't even have one Breitling when we were in Vegas last summer. Just my Omega which I wasn't even wearing all the time. I was amazed how freely these high end watch stores let you try on pieces without even asking As you say they're not stuck up, just very helpfull

Massive difference to over here in the UK. They realy wanted to talk about a deal as well over in the shopping mall.

We were staying in the Wynn, home of the Rolex shop that stocks every single model ever made apparently

I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago and stopped by the Wynn to check out the new B01's. They had about 7 of them in the store. I tried on a few, but they just didn't do it for me. I really wanted to like the look, but nomatter which style I tried on, I couldn't get past the besel. I hate to say this, but INO they look cheap. They don't have the look and feel of a Ling to me. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for next year...

yeah i was going to say, VEGAS is never a ghost town, stil a lot of people willing to blow $$$...

I just came back from fake vegas, aka atlantic city. Was sitting at the poker table and sat next to a guy wearing a white dial motors T. About 3 min after looking at it I realized that it was fake. The date window was terrible, there was no antireflective coating and the small seconds hand didn't work. He had the chronograph running and it wasn't a 30 seconds chronograph. I really wanted to point out that I knew it was fake but figured he was probably shamed enough deep down knowing that he was wearing a fake watch.

I'd say its deffinitely one of the nicer ones. We did the usual tourist thing and walked around most of them on the strip. Can't judge the rooms of the others, but the casino area in the Wynn was outstanding. Probably helps that its very new. Did feel out of place at times as we're far from rich.

Yeah.. I was in Vegas for my bachelor party last weekend, it is far from a ghost town. People might be spending less money, but they are still spending. We stayed at Encore Wynn, and there were still hundreds of people lined up to get into XS every night. Still shoulder to shoulder walking up and down the strip.

I also had a pleasant browsing experience at Horologio a few months ago. The salesperson was able to walk the thin line of indicating her readiness to make a good deal without actually being pushy. I think it was just because she like watches, too. So she was enthusiastic to show them, and if you weren't going to buy that day, that was fine so long as you remembered that they were ready to deal when you actually were going to buy.

I also loved the IWC boutique in the Palazzo. I can't remember the guy's name (but I have his card safely stored) but he was very friendly and happy to show me anything they had.

At the Wynn I had a strange experience (see my review of my experiences during my last trip to Vegas: Subject: Recent experience with Vegas dealers). That's too bad because my wife and I loooooove the hotel. It's our favorite place to stay.
