After reluctantly selling my Hercules, I felt some serious remorse for the sale at times, as the Herc was just such an amazing watch for the money. That feeling caused me to make an impulse purchase of a SOHC listed on TZ, I guess in my subconcious I was trying to fill the void of the Herc sale. Well today the SOHC arrived and lets just say that the void is filled! I'm not sure if I like it more than the Herc, but it is at least as nice, and unique in my collection. This is truly one of those watches that looks far better in the metal than in pics. The bezel, dial and subdials are all different shades of copper, yet all flow seamlessly to compliment each other. Size and weight are nice, this will definitley be an attention getter.

The bracelet by the way, is fantastic, super comfortable and quality throughout.

Enjoy some pics in our phenominal weather here in Ontario, a simply glorious day out there.

I've always seen that colour in the showcase and now admit that I now look at it from a completely different light....Its absolutely stunning!
I guess there is no better way to fill a void cause by the sale of one Breitling than with the purchase of another.

Congrats and enjoy

Very nice Mark! I can see what you are talking about with the different shades in the pics. Really nice. Looks great on the mesh!
I always loved the blue on mesh, but was fearful if the bezel ever got scratched that you can't just buff them out.
Very nice addition to your collection!
Now...I don't know if it could ever truly replace the the Herc though! :poke:

:D

Congrats on a very nice watch. I liked the SOHC in blue, was not sure how it would look in the bronze color, but it is really nice with the mesh bracelet.

Thanks everyone, I really like this one, totally unique, there is really nothing else even close in appearance to this watch, the light really dances off this dial, much like it does on my Motors. When I get some time I'll shoot some side by side shots with the bronze Motors. Its nice to feel that 7750 (Cal 13) wobble again. My favorite chrono movement behind the Herc's.

You are probably right Chris, I'm sure that one day there will come an opportunity to pick up another one... maybe white this time.

Yes! That is one gorgeous watch! I am always doubtful about which of the three colours of the SOH models I like the best, but only when they are on the mesh bracelet! The Bronze is beautiful, again I only like it on the mesh bracelet.
I guess I am not too crazy about the blue and bronze on the OR strap. The black is OK.
Great choice, definitely a classic and the bronze really looks great.
Cheers,
Carl

Love the watch and I agree that the color is stunning! I wish the made the chrono in 42mm as well...sigh...the curse for having thinner wrists.

Mark, that looks great! I'm still not convinced about the mesh bracelet, but it certainly seems to suit the bronze dial.

Very nice watch - not one the the Breitling range I had previously considered adding to my collection in the future. However having seen this and reading how pleased you are with it I will certainly be paying a lot closer attention to one the next time I am in an AD. Enjoy the watch! :lingsrock:

have tried both on in the flesh but still cant decide, the risk adverse nature in me says black is safe but i dont like the bronze
