so since i just recently purchased for the looks also for the know name of a breitling, i never had a clue about the mechanics inside the watch or how it works and now im reading this forum i keep seeing people writing about there watch keeping time up to couple seconds can some one explain to me what they mean by that thanks

It means how accurate your watch keeps time compared to something like an atomic clock which has the exact time. Mechanical watches do not keep perfect time, so you might find that your watch runs a few seconds fast or slow per day. Since breitlings are COSC certified, the should not run slower than -4 seconds per 24 hours, or faster than +6 seconds per 24 hours. If you are in the US, you can use a website like time.gov to sync your watch exactly, and then wait a few days and check to see how far off it is.
