How snugly do we like to wear our bracelet? Understanding this is a personal preference issue, I'm still interested in what others have to say on the subject.

The SS bracelet on my new SO was adjusted by my AD at purchase. In five months, I have not been unhappy with the fit although I wonder if it is just slightly too snug. I get an impression of the bracelet on my wrist, but I can usually shake it over the wrist joint and back. I am at the last adjustment hole on the clasp, so another link would need to be added to give any more length....

Probably a redundant thread, but fresh opinions arealways welcome....

you could try to add another link, and then move the clasp pin in one or two holes and see if that helps?

I'm actually more interested in how others choose to wear their watch.

I like to wear mine ON the wrist and I adjust mine so that they are snug but not so tight they leave the imprint in the skin (which is hard to do sometimes.)

I prefer mine snug with enough room under the clasp to slide my pinky finger, once on my watch stays put in the same postition but I can stll move it about a little if I wish, I really do not like watches that flop about the wrist! When I take it off there is a faint imprint on my wrist but I must admit I do not even notice I am wearing it, it is so comfortable!
I also wear my watch really low on the wrist, almost resting on the top of my hand!

I wear my watch also as close to the hand as possible. I thought I liked a snug fit, but I´ve adjusted my bracelet six times. Now it´s perfect. I get a faint imprint on the wrist, but only some times. I can just barely fit my index finger under the bracelet.

First it was too loose and I felt like it was hanging. Looked bad too. One link later it was ok, felt balanced and I didn´t notice it at all. But I thought I wanted it tighter. Two mini adjustemants later it felt good for couple of hours but started to irritate and squeeze. It left a strong imprint. When I got home couldn´t wait to get it of.

One mini adjustement back and I moved the clasp one link back too (to get it better centered). Now it´s perfect. I don´t notice it at all. I wear it at home all the time which I never used to do with watches before. Some times I even fall a sleep with it. Even with the it´s respectful size and weight it´s unbelievably comfortable.

Anyone with a fitting problem with the bracelet should take the time to do it properly. For me to find the right size wasn´t easy (took about a week), but it makes all the difference in the world how the watch feels.

I tend to prefer my watch to be a little loose. The test for me is if it can spin around my wrist then it is too loose but I do not like the watch to stay completely in one place. Not as much of an issue with a smaller watch (41-43MM) but with my SA it becomes uncomfortable for me if my watch is too tight. And yes I do get that slight rub on the middle of my hand from the crown with my SA.

I always wore mine fairly tight, but have lost about 30 lbs since last summer and haven't adjusted the watches so they are generally slightly looser and it hasn't bothered me at all.

I'm a big guy. 6"5", 245, big frame. It is not uncommon for me to loose or gain 10 pounds in a few days. I work in a kitchen so my body is sometimes very hot or very cold. My skin swells and contracts so much I must wear my watch loose. In the morning I have no trouble at all fitting 2 fingers between the bracelet and wrist. By 7 PM I can barely fit a pinky between them. I just bought a Seiko beater (Orange Monster) with a rubber band just so I could adjust it on the fly.

I'm another that wears it above the wrist bone, on the forearm and not smack up against the hand.

I wear it snug enough so that it stays just in place without movement, regardless of my body condition at the time. (I'll explain) I can't stand a watch that flops about on the wrist.

As a pilot, I do a LOT of travelling and spend a lot of time at various altitudes and air pressures, which is difficult on the body, making it expand and contract. To a lesser degree, the same thing happens during physical exertion like exercise. The wrist also expands and contracts, but not as much as the rest of the body. I do NOT wear my watch so tight that when my wrist is at its largest expansion, it digs in or leaves a mark over time. Right in the middle is perfect so it doesn't dig in at full expansion, or flop at full contraction. Now, add in longer-term weight gains or losses, and it just confuses the issue more.

On a side note, I have similar issues with trying to find a ring size that works. Rings can't be sized as easily as watches, of course!
