instead of the ROO, how about trying to find a white gold BP at your price "threshold"? that would be a keeper for me...

You won't find a WG BP for $10,000 - that's $26,500 list, and unlike the ROO is perceived as worth it.

yea, that's why i put in the threshold, as in monetary or altair's pain tolerance in signing that check over.

Good to see you've come around to the B&R instrument series now, Altair. :)

I love both the BP and the BR01 (have one of them, wish I had both) but I have to agree with Roff - I think you should go for the ROO.

26.5 K is WAY out of my budget, thought that white gold adroise is pretty awesome.

Odd isnt it? I actually like it now for the same reasons I hated it. I find that now I no longer look for pretty watches anymore, the movement and finish are much more important to me. The IWC BI and PAM 233 really hit the spot in those two areas, now I am looking for the opposite again. Something purely instrumental, hence my interest in the aptly name B&R Instrument 01 and Omega PloProf, both ugly but attractively so.

I mentioned to my wife, that on my 40th Birthday, I'd like to acquire a Panerai. As of now, they are out of reach for me, but I figured in 3 years time, I could sock away sock Pam love money!
I look forward to seeing your collection morph and grow!

best of luck to you, I am sure some clever saving on yoru part and that PAM will be on yoru wrist sooner than later!
