I am in admiration of some of you guys. You seem to have such great collections of breiting plus other mouth watering watches. M question is this. How do you get the wife to let you spend so much on them?..do you bring them in when she's at work? do you hide them under the bed, only look at them weekends and holidays.I would love to know your style. How is it done?

well to my experience its simple, you come home and you say: Honey come look what a cool watch I got :lol:

I know, not many of the ladies would tolerate this kind of behaviour, well maybe once or twice, but I am so lucky that mine does :lol:

I lie a lot. i pretend that a new addition is one of the existing ones, etc. Then i go on a fake offence to further reduce the chances of follow-up questions. I'll call into question her lack interest in my hobby. Stuff like that. I can usually shut down any investigation. She's always suspicious, but i think i've just exausted her to the point where the only way i'm getting shut down on this stuff is when cheques start bouncing. If the new add is totally different (in her eyes) to anything she's seen, I'll claim a swap or something. I'm not proud of any of this, but i've got the disease. i assume i'll be on 'Intervention' for this eventually...

My wife and I keep our finances seperate. We've done this for 15 years and have almost never argued about money. So as long as we both meet our monthly financial obligations we are free to endulge our personal hobbies. Hers are her horse, clothing, scrapbooking and such and mine are watches and my motorcycle. Personally, I'd never put myself in a position to have to ask permission to buy something, but that is just me. :lol:

Its very simple and very easy. She knows I am the MAN, I have the MAN parts, which means I am in charge. I'm new to this forum but I've noticed so many of you on here are so scared of your wives. Do they make all the money? Are you married to feminists? I'm all for womans rights, but never it a million years would I be scared to make a purchase because of a woman. Maybe I was raised different, or maybe its because I am young (26) but there is no such thing has "convince". I feel for you guys out there without this luxury. Marry an Italian, or a Puerto Rican woman and you'll never have these worries.

HOPEFULLY the AD will have it by Tuesday. They didn't have one in stock, so I've been impatiently waiting for almost 2 weeks. Of course over those two weeks I've now fallen in love with the Skyracer and the Bentley Complications 19.......

You don't hang around. but I know what you mean about all the other tempting watches out there. right now I could go for 3 0r 4, hence my initial question. how the hell can we do this ?
I am waiting of a an Evolution TT to come in. Should have been at the AD today, but was not. Have to phone on Monday...

Haha, good stuff. Not trying to be insulting, I guess I'm just as curious but on the other end of the spectrum. Not to say I don't buy stuff for my girl. But she never asks for anything. But here and there I get her a little something. But its not to butter her up, its just because I have a problem spending money!

Actually sometimes she encourages my watch purchases. Once I had to get my Skyracer serviced, I was so pissed that I was to be without it for a 2-3 weeks, and she knew I saw a Seawolf I liked. So she pushed me to buy the wolf while my racer was in the shop. So with her pushing I went and bought the Seawolf so I could have a ling on my wrist. And then the rest of my purchases started....
