Hi Alex

Following our camera discussion, here are a couple of pics that show how effective a Cir Polarizing Filter can be. You can dial in blue so well, and indeed it's obvious use is reducing refection

You have to get one with your new kit, whatever you buy!

Hi Alex

your proposed kit looks fantastic!

The Cir Polar filter you need will be a 72mm HOYA

Get one from the 'Bay, most of the HK guys are reputable. And often a 1/3 of the price

I got mine from there.

It's a good addition to your kit

And yes. I'd like to come up on the visit!

Davey

Ha ha! That just about sums me up to! Waiting for some brighter weather so I can get out and about to take some landscapes. Not got a clue what I'm doing but I've bought about 30 photography magazines in the last 2 months! I just end up looking at the pics tho!! :D

Congrats, lets see some pics!

If you are interested in Macro, I strongly suggest the 105MM Nikkor Macro lens, absolutely superb!

hey altair.

i am interested in Macro, for the time being picked up the 50mm sigma as iot was down from £280 to £139 and seems to do a nice job at the moment.

took some snaps of the kittens over the week, my emergency and a bug that was crawling round on the floor.

will do some crops of them on tues and post up.

still trying to get to know all the features so be gentle on the critique also its been 10 years since ive used a DSLR in anger so we'll see how i do.

Alex
