Yes, I'd go for a second opinion on both the Aerospace metal type and the availability on brushed OR clasps.

ha ha ... well at least I now have all the facts fully clarified.

Aero with titanium strap
Aero with DP rubber strap and brushed metal clasp
Aero with OR rubber strap, but with polished steel clasp

After seeing pics of the Avenger Seawolf and Superocean Steelfish with OR rubber straps I am worried I am now "already" planning my 2nd LING purchase !! :)

I have an Aerospace and you are making an excellent choice!

I have the black dial too, and would recommend that you get the bracelet with the watch.

I bought it about three months ago, and the super quartz is keeping excellent time...only about 0.5 second slow in all that time!

I have the Diver Pro strap, another after-market rubber strap and a leather strap that I had custom made. But get the bracelet first. I change them out depending on my mood and event that I am attending.

I love the light weight of the Ti and really enjoy wearing the Aerospace...you will love it.

But I have to warn you, you will get addicted to this site and will want other Lings very soon. Wish I could afford more, but I'm saving and will get another eventually.

Congrats and wear it in good health!

Randy

**UPDATE**

Just received word from Breitling as follows ...

The Ocean racer only comes with a polished steel clasp which is not the same as the matt steel of the Aerosspace itself however, there is a further option of the Driver Pro watch (black rubber, much like the ocean racer) which comes with a pin buckle as apposed to a clasp. The pin buckle is available in both matt or polished steel.

So it looks like the Ocean racer strap is NOT an option to me combined with the Aero, if I want the strap to match the watch.

So its metal strap or Diver Pro rubber bracelet then.

Decisions Decisions :D

A very good choice for your first BLing. I have always admired the Aerospace, and was fortunate to pick one up over the summer.

Here are my pics: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4712

I too recommend getting the Ti strap first. Then get other straps. I'm thinking of other straps in the future.

And, I too am looking to add to my collection. It will take some savings, but they will be mind. :)

Congrats and welcome to the group. Enjoy your watch and you will find you will be staring at the dial at every chance you get.

I've just ordered the exact same configuration (Ti, Black Dial, PBII). I need something I can wear 24/7 and that can adjust easily when I traverse timezones.

Was actually looking for a mechanical, but couldn't find one and stopped looking immediately when I was introduced to the Aerospace :lingsrock:

I have had my share of big chunky watches as I was a navy diver when I was young ;-)

Thanks for the positive feedback on the Aero Guys :lingsrock:
It is THE LING I have had my eye on for years and was the watch I always said I would own "one day"
I was looking in the brochure again last night and thinking god that watch looks amazing.
Breitling have made just enough tweaks to the current model to make it look ultra modern.
I was also comparing the weight & dimensions to the Seawolf and the two are worlds apart :D
