I've read in previous threads about a potential Feb. 1st price increase from Breitling...anyone heard anything new on this?

What countries will this effect, or is it across the board?

Or is this all B.S. created by dealers looking to push those of us who on the verge of purchasing to pull the trigger before the imaginary price increase goes into effect?

If it is going to happen, any word on the amount of increase?

For what it's worth, I was in my AD about 2 weeks ago. The owner of the store is a personal friend of mine. He told me that his rep had just been in the store to visit him and told him there will be no price increase this year.

 Just been to see my AD today and he confirmed that there would be an increase of approx' 10% in the UK from the first of February... So I promptly invested in a two tone Cockpit..."Well a man has to do what a man has to do"

Same answer as every other time this question has been asked........

There are some country specific increases due to fluctuations in currency - they started in about November and are still going on. It's not an across the board increase, although I'm intrigued by Flubby's comment that the Breitling rep said that there wouldn't be an increase this year.

Ordinarily there would be no pricing announcement until after Basel and the increase would be effective during the first half of May.

I haven't heard anything from our sales rep. For those of you that will suffer from the increased prices take advantage of the low ones, then lets see some pictures!

Oh GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Mmmmm, JUST what we need in the UK with the pound crashing through the floor. 10% rise in the UK, no increase in the States.

Oh well, true to form I guess then.

I was in my local AD (in the UK) this weekend, picking up the Chronolog 9... I was also told that the prices will be plus 10% from the price list.

I spoke to my UK Ad yesterday - all UK prices going up 12-15% from yesterday, to reflect currency fluctuations!!!! 12-15%!!!!

Not a great way to encourage us to buy more watches in the current economic climate. :(
