Last night, a buddy of mine comes to my house and is sporting his "classic" Omega Seamaster.
He spots my SA and asks me "WHAT IS THAT?" I answered a Breitling; I did not provide any details about size etc.
He asks me if he can slap it on his wrist. I let him wear it and.... OOOHHH WOWWWW, makes mine look like a woman's watch, is what came out of his mouth right away.

Obviously, I couldn't resist; I just had to snap some pics and I also know we ALL love pictures here, so....
I placed my "new" SEAMASTER beside his vintage one (it measured 36mm) and decided to snap away; obviously for "scientific"
reasons the SA had to be included in this pic. 8)

Nice pics. Thanks.

It's amazing how quickly 40-41mm watches are looking small these days. 36mm watches are almost "unwearable". I wonder how Rolex could still sell the DateJust's....

 Really does make the other Omegas look like women's watches.

Is thickness a problem on a SA since it is 18mm thick?

Only if you let it!

No, in all seriousness it doesn't exactly slip under tight shirt sleeves, but then I hate really tight sleeves anyway.

plus its all about perception, if you only have 36mm watches it becomes the norm size wise for you its only wghen you put it agaist a monster it really looks small.

my 1980's Santos looks fine on my wrist but put it next to a B and it looks tiny, much thinner and smaller diameter.

Great story and pics!!! .... I have a 1948 seamaster 36mm. I also have a 42 mm aerospace and then the big breitling SOHC at 46mm.
Its all about different watches for different occasions. I enjoy my sunday 36 mm seamaster the same as my saterday 46 mm SOHC..For me its not the size but the experience of wearing a beautiful timepiece...
best regards,
pete

Looks like if the SA took a good healthy poop, it would be about the size of that 'classic'. :nana:

After I wear my Seawolf, the Steelfish seems a bit small, too!
Cheers,
Carl
