Ryobi pressure washer reviews

If you are looking to buy a pressure washer, look no further than those of Ryobi’s. Ryobi is a Japanese company that excels in creating new technologies for home appliances as well as outdoor gears. In this article, we will review some of their best models, ranging from the ryobi mini pressure washer, to their more rigorous, gas-based ones.

Ryobi RY141900

This model tops the list for its robust frame, efficient cleaning, yet surprisingly small weight. The RY141900 is an electric model, so it is less powerful than gas-powered ones. Yet, if you’re only planning to carry out indoor home projects, then this guy is more than enough. Indeed, reviewers of the RY141900 said it is perfect for small to medium house-cleaning projects.

For those that have a modest storing space, this machine is the perfect choice. It can be folded tightly and snugged in a little corner. At a price of $100 - $150 depending on the platform, this model has a 2,000 PSI, 1.2 GPM, and a 25-foot hose. The hose is not exceedingly long, meaning that it is not meant to be stretched too far. What compensates for it though, are the sturdy wheels that improve portability. What’s more, the turbo nozzle of this model has been renovated so as to improve the quality of cleaning by up to 50%.

Ryobi RY141612

This model is more lightweight than the 141900, which means that it is somewhat less powerful. It is a 1600 psi 1.2 gpm electric pressure washer that is not the best for large scale projects, but it is another good choice for light, occasional housekeeping.

The RY141612 does not have wheels, but weighing at around 19 pounds, it is light enough to be carried around by hand. The hose is 25 inches in length-- not long, but suitable for its purpose. One thing special about this model is that it has interchangeable nozzles: a 15-degree, a turbo nozzle, and a soap nozzle. Many pressure washers, even hard-core, industrial ones, do not have a soap nozzle, and their nozzles are sometimes not removable. The fact that the producer of the RY141612 purposefully added the soap option, as well as making the nozzles changeable, reflects their customers-oriented attitude in making their products as versatile and user-friendly as they can be.

Ryobi RY803600

In absolute contrast to the Ryobi 1600 pressure washer Image described above, the RY803600 is an industrial, large-scale, gas pressure washer that is designed for big projects. The machine is powered by a Honda engine that is rigorous enough to energize a 3,600 PSI and a 2,5 GPM. The hose is 35 feet in length - 10 inches longer than the first two - that reaches a considerable further distance. With the RY803600, you can be confident as to getting that old patio or that muddy fence spotless in less than an hour.

Whereas homeowners do not need to worry about storage for the previous two, the RY803600 takes up quite an amount of space. But, if you already have that big of a house that requires the use of this baby, storing shouldn’t be a problem.

Ryobi RY14122

This is another electric model on the list. Small and compact, this model is designed with sufficient storage for user’s convenience.

The RY14122 has a 1,700 PSI and a 1,2 GPM. It is meant for easy indoor cleaning, since it doesn’t have any wheels to be pushed around. Yet, the design is extremely straightforward, with all of the redundant parts cut off. This one also has three interchangeable nozzles that makes the cleaning job a lot easier.

Broadly speaking, the biggest difference is that in the current lineup the 6, 9, 12 layout denotes an ETA-based movement (usually the 7750), whereas 3, 6, 9 (tricompax) tends to be the preserve of the in-house movement. This doesn't hold true for older models as even tricompax models were all ETA-based, just with a chronograph module on top.

Just to add to @Driver8, the Valjoux-compax calibre (12, 6 & 9) based watches tend to be slightly smaller at 41.5mm, whereas the Compax calibre (3, 6 & 9) are anything from 41.8mm to 43mm depending on the reference. Thickness, on the other hand, varies based on the reference rather than what dial layout it has.

Just to chime in after previous postings - different calibers have different power reserve (in house caliber B01 having the longest one comparing to ETA/Valjoux).

Speaking of some older models (if you are buying used), some of the 3-6-9 models with older B23 caliber (based on ETA 7753) don't have quickset date.
