Hello everyone,,
I was the proud owner of a Breitling Chrono Avenger M1 Yellow Dial Titanium which I have had for around 10 years or more. Unfortunately despite hunting high and low in the house I cannot find it anywhere - I can only assume the pin has come loose and it's dropped off my wrist at some point. It should be insured via individual items up to £5000. My question is how do I get a fair valuation at this point in time - I wore it nearly every day but it was still in good condition, when I bought it I paid around £2000 for it but to get an equivalent would now cost way more than this.

Before I contact my insurance co I wanted to check if anyone has been through this scenario before and how they went about getting it valued. I have a valuation from Ernest Jones from 2009 where it was valued at around £2300 - any help would be greatly appreciated.

For now I'm back to my trusty SuperOcean Professional!

Thanks in advance,

It really depends on how you have it insured, and your insurance company will pay you the insured amount. If you have replacement value it doesn't matter how much you paid for it, your insurance company will get you a similar one or pay you the price of a similar one. If you have it insured for the purchase price, it doesn't matter what it's worth now, they'll refund your purchase amount.
