Hi all. I recently purchased my first Breitling - Superocean GMT reference A32380 from an AD at a duty free shop in an airport. I was happy with the watch until I looked up the reference number and discovered that the watch was discontinued in 2015. Is it an issue that the watch has sat around so long before being sold? Would it not even need a service soon? Of course they filled in the electronic warranty card, but I can't help feeling like I was taken for a ride. Appreciate any thoughts.

Not abnormal for a watch to sit for awhile at an AD. Watches aren't generally always fast turning type of inventory outside a few highly in demand pieces. The good thing is that it's under warranty for 2 years so if it running outside of cosc you could send it in under warranty and most likely get a free service.

If you like the watch and bought it, then it's meant to be that you were able to by this discontinued model straight from the AD

Thanks for the feedback guys. One more thing - they didn't give me the breitling tag that usually is tied to the watch - is that an issue?

Not at all. Don’t worry and just enjoy your new watch.
